Busy bees

Life has been a little busy lately.  Not so busy that I couldnt have posted in more than a month, so I'm not too sure what that was all about, but busy just the same.
In just a few short weeks, Joey will say goodbye to kindergarten.  I cant believe that my little baby boy is soon going to be 6 and headed to 1st grade!  But for now, he's my sweet little 5 year old kindergartener who loves his teacher and having lunch with his friends.  My little kindergartener who is going on his first field trip this week to the zoo, and who recently had his first school "concert."  He was so into the songs, singing and dancing like he was the star of the show.  I think the only grin in the auditorium bigger than his was mine.  It was priceless!
Ava also had a "first" this week... going up north camping with Grandpa and Grandma.  She was so excited to go, and packed all of her favorite toys in case Grandma wanted to see them :)  Broke my heart though when she called me the 2nd day there and asked if I would come pick her up.  Being a 3 hour drive, I promised her that it would get better and that I would see her in a few days.  And Grandma made things better.  She sure knows they way to Ava's heart.  They went shopping and got the girly necessities - a new summer dress and a fishing pole. 
Its been a fun weekend with just the boys, but I ready for my girlie girl to come home.  We should be leaving here in a few hours to go pick her up, and I'm ready.  I've loved the break from the drama, but man have I missed her :)
I have so much more to say, but my dirt covered kitchen floor is glaring at me begging to be cleaned.  We have some special visitors coming this week, and now I'm in stressed out-gotta get this house cleaned mode.  The problem is, I'm the only one in the house feeling that way, which only makes for more work for mommy! Such is life I suppose ;)
