Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

We're setting it up this weekend! I am so excited! We'd normally wait until next weekend to do it, but Thanksgiving is so late in the month this year, I'd like to be able to enjoy it more.

Plus, lets face it. I love Christmas. The tree, the lights, the decorations, the music, the cookies, my nativity set, the mistletoe, and just about everything else.

I grew up with a real tree growing up, but with the kids and a really bad experience one year, we go the artificial route now. We've been using a smaller one that Ken's mom had given us for years now, but we got a great deal on a big one after Christmas last year and I am so excited to put it up!!!!! Eeek!!!!!

We're really going to focus on the spirit of Christmas this year. The kids will each get a few gifts, and of course a stocking with the necessities and another small gift, but I've made a decision to spend more time singing Christmas songs, making homemade gifts for Grandmas, making Christmas cookies, visiting live nativities, and telling them the TRUE meaning of Christmas than standing in the checkout lines at Target (I know, Target will miss me as much as I will miss it :) )
