We arrived last week and have been doing our best to get settled and unpacked in our new place. We've also done some cheap (READ - free) exploring! Free adventures are the best ones, afterall!
Eileen, a dear friend of mine from college came down from Connecticut for the weekend to help us inpack, though all I wanted to do was hang out! She was a tremendous help though, with the kids, and with unpacking. I am so thankful she lives "close by" and was able to visit so soon!
After she left Sunday, we went on a family adventure to Elk Neck State Park to visit the tip of the peninsula into the Chesapeake Bay and to climb the steps in the lighthouse (though the kids were too short and not allowed in :( )
We have also been to the Brandywine Zoo in Wilmington, Delaware, driven through Philadelphia, and been to Inner Harbor Baltimore. We are going to LOVE it out here! (Though I confess I miss my other home, my parents, sister, brothers, and friends, but please dont get me started on that!)
